I also found that I could go through the intro pages, and after tapping on the
continue button, my 4S is completely dead, I don't even get that unlabeled
button to talk. My phone freezes completely after that. Pressing the home
button brings the phone back to life, after some time.
It can’t work on the 4S.

yes i did then when i hit continu vo just seemd to freeze since i couldn't get

It's an OCR app. The take the picture bit is about taking pictures of
documents, signs, etc that have text in them.

This is a free app by a teenager.
For a first generation, it is not bad.
It takes a few more steps to get the text processed, and it will say that 4
corners are in view, only it will say that even when pointing at an empty desk.

IN order to find it in the app store, I searched for: voice take
picture spoken, and the app was the first and only suggestion that
came up. If you just search for voice or voice and picture, then many,
many results will appear.
