It works in Outlook, so messages in my Inbox on the computer are in ascending
order, while on the phone are in descending order - go figure. I guess that
makes sense to someone.

you hear most recent message on top. You can turn it off or on. I assume this

I'm not sure why one would do that because then when a new message comes in,
you have to go all the way to the end of the list to read them.
Or, just always use the Unread folder when you get new Emails.
