Re: Brightness setting not staying where I put it

2018-02-13 Thread Mary Otten
Thanks. I found it in Accessibility as you said. It’s odd. because I had it
turned off before, why did it all of a sudden get turned on? I guess it’s more
nonsense like what they did with Wi-Fi. We think it’s off but it’s really not.

RE: Brightness setting not staying where I put it

2018-02-13 Thread Cristóbal
This is an automatic screen brightness thing. If memory serves, you have to go
in the accessibility section to disable it. It used to be in the display and
brightness section on the first page of settings, but has since been buried in
accessibility somewhere.

Subject: Brightness setting not staying where I put it

Hi all,
I’m not sure when this started, but it’s quite possible that was after the most
recent iOS update. All of a sudden, my phone brightness is not staying at zero
where I have it set. I really noticed this for the first time when my phone
felt warm the other day and I couldn’t figure out why, until I checked and
found out that my brightness was up to 100%. No wonder the battery was going
down quicker than usual. Since then, I have noticed that it has not stayed at
zero, just now it was up to 61%. I sure didn’t do that. Has anyone noticed
this? Is there some sort of setting that I need to fix?
Mary
