Re: Please consider contacting YouTube to report the issues with the latest version 13.08 of their iOS app with Voiceover

2018-03-12 Thread Maria Reyes
Well, I hope this issue gets fixed even though I'm not experiencing this issue
on my iPhone X. I am on the beta so I wonder if that's why I'm not experiencing
this issue. Also I wonder if this is a VO bug because Mark said the collapse
button worked when he disabled VoiceOver.

 Hello Mario,

 You know what? You're correct.

Yesterday, after reinstalling the YouTube app, all worked as expected.
Today, after rebooting my 8 Plus, the VoiceOver Collapse Video button
is no longer working as expected. This is to say, it is no longer
working when VoiceOver is running. Disable VoiceOver and the button
 works as expected.

This is most likely an app-specific, hardware device series video
 display driver bug; nothing more.

So, just report the bug to YouTube, via the feedback utility from
within the app and/or post a review in the App Store and let it go, for
 now.

Relax, my friend, enjoy your iPhone 8, and have a great week.

Mike, probably because most developers either don't know ablind person
using the iPhone, or because they don't or couldn't imagine how a
blind person could use iOS. IN their case, they just don't know,
nothing intentional. As for when the update for the fix may come, it's
anyone's guess. However YouTube puts out updates almost weekly, and
some of them have even mentioned VoiceOver I believe, so anyday now
we'll have another one to install and it might be the one to fix the
issue.

I don't see why app developers just don't put their IPhone's in voice over

Re: Please consider contacting YouTube to report the issues with the latest version 13.08 of their iOS app with Voiceover

2018-03-12 Thread Wayne Merritt
I have an iPhone 7 Plus and the issue happened to me as well. I
deleted and reinstalled the app yesterday, and like others, the
problem did not happen for me and then later it started happening
again. I am on the latest iOS. So it's not just the iPhone 8 and
newer.

2018-03-12 Thread mmmat3
I agree. At this point all we can do is report the bug and wait for Youtube to
fix the problem. The only common element I have noticed so far is that all the
people that are having the problem are using iPhone 8 or 8 plus.

Hello Mario,

You know what? You're correct.

Yesterday, after reinstalling the YouTube app, all worked as expected. Today,
after rebooting my 8 Plus, the VoiceOver Collapse Video button is no longer
working as expected. This is to say, it is no longer working when VoiceOver is
running. Disable VoiceOver and the button works as expected.

This is most likely an app-specific, hardware device series video display
driver bug; nothing more.

So, just report the bug to YouTube, via the feedback utility from within the
app and/or post a review in the App Store and let it go, for now.

Relax, my friend, enjoy your iPhone 8, and have a great week.

Yes, it's true.
I didn't have this issue, but now it's real to me.
I will wait for an update, if not get resolved, I'm going to report the
issue.
