Ruby,

You might want to fire up Wikipedia to read a bit more about wireless security
protocols. What Rajmund is referencing is the protocol being used by your
router which sounds as if it's WPA based on your error message. I don't know
why iOS 10 would require you to change the wireless security setting of your
router to the WPA2 protocol but that seems to be what is implied from the
message you're receiving. You can change the security protocol you use within
the settings of your router which is what Rajmund is saying we'd need more
details about in order to direct you. I don't know how it works in India but if
I received a similar error in the States, I'd contact my internet service
provider who supplies my combined router and modem which they call a wireless
gateway for instructions on how to configure it to deal with the error being
returned by your iPhone 6.

I hope this makes sense and post back if you have more questions.

Alan Lemly

Hi, I know what it means, but that's ridiculous, if apple has started it.
Right now, your WIFI is set to use WPAPSK. How, The phone wants you to change
to WPA2PSK. Don't get me wrong, it's ridiculous, and the only way someone might
just be able to help, is if we know the type of router used. HTH. PS. Mine did
the same, with opened networks on the airport...
