I suggest Accu radio. It is a free app with many genres and multiple subclasses
within those. You cannot request a song or artist, but you can tell it not to
play one again. It is fully accessible. Very, very few commercials and most of
them are just three second self promotions.

think they are in TX, and WAMU bluegrasscountry.org which is in the VA or DC

I do have tune-in, but just the free version.

Also, if there aren't specific Apps, are there stations that are quite
accessible?

It would be helpful if I could use them on my iPad. But if they are more
accessible on the iPhone, that's perfectly fine.

Any thoughts would be great.

On Tune-In, I listen to a few bluegrass gospel stations. Just do
a search.

Also, on tune in radio there is a station called H PR one that
plays really good classic country. It doesn't play the same role
rotational so many stations do and you might enjoy that one as
well.

I do have tune-in, but just the free version.

quite

accessible?

It would be helpful if I could use them on my iPad. But if they
are more

accessible on the iPhone, that's perfectly fine.

Any thoughts would be great.

Thank you,

RE: Apps to play classic country and bluegrass music

2017-03-12 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Just do a search for "Bluegrass" and/or "Classic Country" in the app store and
you probably find plenty of options to explore. I just searched Google for
"Bluegrass Music on the App Store" and quickly found two which might be
interesting:

Bluegrass Music Radio: Free app, but was last updated in August 2014, may of
course work just fine.
https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/bluegrass-music-radio-recorder/id832442896?mt=8

A Country Radio: Free app, last updated in August 2015
**A Country Radio** - Streaming Internet Country Radio (Over 50 Stations)
Why is **A Country Radio** the best?
1. More Stations YOU Want To Hear (53 and Counting)
2. Background Audio to surf the Web while you listen
3. Diverse Selection Of Channels (Bluegrass, Classic Country, Modern Country,
Western, Texas, Unsigned, and More)
The app description lists a full list of stations.
https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/a-country-radio/id499068333?mt=8
