Re: Brailliant BI and iOS 8.1.1

2014-12-04 Thread Keith B.
I have talked with a distributor about this issue, and it is definitely a
Humanware issue. They really need to address this soon. I notice that it
happens more when writing in Braille than when reading in Braille, but it
does happen in both situations.

Re: Brailliant BI and iOS 8.1.1

2014-12-03 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hebblo, I will try this the next time it happens. Right now I'm using the
display to write this message. I'm using contracted Braille for both input and
output. I'm also using the auto-translation for the contracted Braille. So far
it's behaved fine. I removed the pairing information and paired it again in
case things didn't connect properly. Also, since I've seen this with 2
different Brailliant displays I am comforted that it's not a problem with the
hardware of just 1 unit. I'll write more if something else comes up or changes.

Re: Brailliant BI and iOS 8.1.1

2014-12-02 Thread Anisio Correia
When this happens to me, pressing the spacebar on the braille display usually
does the trick.

Hi there. I had this in iOS 7, as well, but forgetting then re-pairing the
device works… Now my display does not do this… I have a BI 32.

Hello all. Wondering if anyone has issues with the Humanware Brailliant BI
Braille display locking up when using it with an iPhone on iOS 8.1.1. I have
a display and after a while of moving around and editing the display
freezes. The phone continues to speak without issues, but I have to turn off
the display, lock the phone, and then turn on the display again and start
over in order for things to work right again. I don't have a way to compare
if this was the issue with iOS 7.x or if it might be an on-going issue with
the Brailliant display. Ideas and/or suggestions welcome.

I've already removed and paired the display again and I have no connection
issues. Just the freezing issues, and yet there seems to be no pattern in
 when it happens.

 Thanks.
