You can read kindle or audible books. In this case, I was referring to kindle books. You can move through audible books with the echo, but not kindle books. I hope this changes soon. I originally got the echo for my husband for Christmas. Since I like the alexa voice and have kindle books,

According to the echo, you have to move in chapters with the alexa iphone app. You are correct that there is no mac app. I like the alexa voice so I was trying to get a book to start over, but am prompted to use the app to navigate. I may have to listen to the book with voice over, but

I bought the Amazon Echo a couple of months ago and really enjoy it. I did, however, have to install the Alexa app on my iPhone 6 in order to get the Echo activated. Unfortunately, the size of the app keeps growing because all of the various Echo commands I have used are saved in that app.
