RE: The iOS MyChart App is VoiceOver Accessible
Hello Janet, You do not, in any way, come across as dumb. In fact, your question is an excellent one. While I cannot answer your first question, the answer to the second one is to simply ask your healthcare providers if they use the MyChart system. RE: The iOS MyChart App is VoiceOver Accessible
Hello Paula, You must go to your healthcare providers and ask if they use the MyChart system. If they do, then they will give you the initial credentials, necessary, to your first login. If your healthcare providers do not use MyChart, then you cannot use MyChart; or rather, you might consider switching to healthcare providers who do use it. RE: The iOS MyChart App is VoiceOver Accessible
I love this app because as stated the test results are accessible. This beats having it sent in the mail and having someone else read it or having to scan it. I have also requested appointments and made requests for medicine refills from my doctors. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Jenifer Barr Sent: Friday, March 09, 2018 9:55 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: The iOS MyChart App is VoiceOver Accessible Mark. RE: The iOS MyChart App is VoiceOver Accessible
Hello Jenifer, I am so glad that the timing of my post worked out for you. You know, I recently had some test results, posted to my account, and it was wonderful to be able to review the data on my phone, via VoiceOver, without the frustration of attempting to acquire the info via my Windows desktop screen reader. You're most welcome for the info and I wish you the best on your test results. Again, as I have written twice before, please take the time to rate and give positive feedback on the app in the Apple App Store as it is so very important that we make the developer aware of our existence, as visually impaired iOS users. Re: The iOS MyChart App is VoiceOver Accessible
Mark. This is truely good news that came at a great time for me as I am awaiting some test results that I am very anxious to get. As my practitioner won't be in until next friday I am not keen on the weeklong wait. The last time I used the app it really wasn't that great. You're awesome! RE: The iOS MyChart App is VoiceOver Accessible
Mark, Thanks for letting us know this. How handy this will be as the Web interface is a bit cumbersome at times when checking messages and test results. At least it is for me. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of M. Taylor Sent: Friday, March 9, 2018 12:33 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: The iOS MyChart App is VoiceOver Accessible Hello All, I am delighted to let you know that the MyChart app, for iOS is completely VoiceOver accessible. From the sign-in screen to reading test results, VoiceOver users will have total access. I was using the web browser to access my accounts but, since downloading the app, I would never consider using the Desktop again. Just so you know, I strongly suggest that you do not permit the app to access your location as, apparently, it is a super power hog. Okay, the app info follows my signature. Enjoy and Stay Healthy, Mark App Name: MyChart Description Use your existing MyChart account to manage your health information and communicate with your doctor on your mobile devices, including Apple Watch. With MyChart you can: . Review test results, medications, immunization history, and more . Stay in touch with your physician . Manage your appointments . Upload health and fitness data, including data from the Apple Health app, when enrolled in self-tracking programs . View and pay your bill . Access your family's health information You must first create an account through your healthcare provider's MyChart website. If your healthcare provider is not listed, or if you require support accessing your existing account, contact them directly or visit their MyChart website for more help options.
