I think the bigger problem may be good quality for $50

That is something we in nz could not get.

Even apple headphones such as you get with your phone
Are over $50 and they to me are a reasonable headphone.

Your subject line said, wired.
The challenge will be to find a wired headset that has the lightning plug.
Or, do you have the lightning to 3.5 MM adapter?

Good luck in finding a good quality headset for $50.

I’m sure there are some out there.

headset but cannot find it anywhere. Its all blue tooth. I don’t want to pay
more than $50 if possible

2020-03-26 Thread andrew
Hi Joshua,
I actually bought a pair that sound similar in description:
Dual Driver 40 Hrs Bluetooth Headphones Over Ear, Picun EQ Bass Wireless
Headphones w/ Mic, Hifi Stereo 4 Dynamic Driver Hybrid Headset, Soft Protein

These don't fold though. I feel likeRadar on MASH when wearing them.
They cover your ears completely and then some.
Thanks for the recommendation. I'll probably get them, so I'll have a nice
collection

If you need to use it for calls, then no. The microphone won't work if the
headset is wired. It is a fantastic sounding headset though.
I might actually purchase myself an extra headset just because it sounds so
good.

Re: Recommendations of Wired headset for I Phone XR no earbuds please

2020-03-26 Thread Keith Bierman
headphone choices are highly personal what sounds best, which mikes
work best, etc. It had not occurred to me to recommend a dual BT/wired, but
since Joshua brought it up...

https://www.amazon.com/TREBLAB-Headphones-Cancelling-Microphone-Auriculare/dp/B0778V7RVR/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1=treelab+z2=1585251931=8-1-spons=1=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzUVZXNTVOWUw3UUJUJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNDQxMDI4MU1SMFJGU0NNSktIQyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjkyMTk1TlIxWUtGUkFWSVRWJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

These are very good, I haven't used the wired option (but a cable is
provided). It does *not* use a boom mike (some people prefer them). These
are large over the ear ... again, some people love that style (especially
in noisey environments) others not so much.

https://www.amazon.com/Andrea-Communications-C1-1026200-50-SB-405B-Microphones/dp/B005SY4W2U/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1=andrea+superbeam+headset=1585252108=8-5=8898A51E3762F5986A50F43664F096FF
is much lighter, has no BT. OWC (macsales.com) used to blow them out for
$20, amazon is much more expensive.

Re: Recommendations of Wired headset for I Phone XR no earbuds please

2020-03-26 Thread Arnold Schmidt
I have had these headphones for maybe three months now, after buying them one
daywhen they were the deal of the day for $27. Although I occasionally wish
they had slightly less bass, or a bit more treble, I am quite satisfied with
them, and would replace them at the regular price if something happened to
them. As of this writing, there is a coupon for $5 off, but I don't know how
long it will be there. Finally, I don't know for sure they will run for 40
hours, but I'll bet it would be close. I have run and run them and never seen
the battery percentage drop below 50 percent.

Thanks to having a sighted wife who likes to also dig into details, I found the
totally inaccessible manual, but she was able to read it on her iPad and expand
the important information. At least, the most important to me.

The frequency response is from 20 to 20,000 hertz. That is amazing!
Especially in a $40 pair of headphones.
Plus the fact that they can be used wired or wireless.
The audio cable is a 3.5 MM jack and it says it is 1.2 Meters. Which is almost
4 feet, 3.96 feet to be specific.
Andrew, in my opinion, you should get these for sure. They will meet your
needs and probably exceed expectations.

My BackBeats from Plantronics are similar and listed at $180 a few years ago
but my wife found them for $130 and they are going strong.
These
Tribit headphones are in the top 5 rated headphones for 2020.

Plus, you can always return them to Amazon if they don't meet your needs.

The headset covers the entire ears. I even have an audio tutorial that talks
about all the features of the headset. The tutorial was done by another
company that unfortunately I was very over charged for the headset.

RE: Recommendations of Wired headset for I Phone XR no earbuds please

2020-03-26 Thread Deb Cook Lewis
If the wire is connected, does this block use of the internal mike or can you
use that?

If you need to use it for calls, then no. The microphone won't work
if the headset is wired. It is a fantastic sounding headset though.
I might actually purchase myself an extra headset just because it
sounds so good.

Hi Joshua,
I heard the tutorial & know of the company that you are referring to. I'm not
sure that phone calls are possible when the wire is on. Are you able to use
headset for calls when the wire is on?

RE: Recommendations of Wired headset for I Phone XR no earbuds please

2020-03-26 Thread Richard Turner
When my BackBeat headphones die, I will be getting these.

Re: Recommendations of Wired headset for I Phone XR no earbuds please

2020-03-26 Thread Joshua Hendrickson
The headset covers the entire ears. I even have an audio tutorial
that talks about all the features of the headset. The tutorial was
done by another company that unfortunately I was very over charged for
the headset.

Hi Andrew. I think I've found what you're looking for. There is a
company called Tribit and they make a set of wireless bluetooth
headphones that can also be used wired. This company not only
includes a case with their headphones, but a cable as well that can
turn them from wireless bluetooth headphones into a wired pair. They
only cost $40 and by the way they sound, you'd think they were around
$100 instead of $40. I've got a set of these headphones and they
sound incredible. Here's the link from amazon.

2020-03-25 Thread Richard Turner
Another thought is to check out known brands like Sony, Koss, JVL, etc.
You will want a frequency range from probably from 50 or 100 hertz, to 16000,
to 2 hertz so you are covering a good range from decent base to high treble.
If you have any stores in your area, you might try calling to ask what they
have.
Its hard to find the specs listed on web sites like Amazon, though you might if
you dig deeply enough.

Re: Recommendations of Wired headset for I Phone XR no earbuds please

2020-03-25 Thread Richard Turner
I could imagine a $14 headset sounding pretty awful.
I hope you returned them.
I know there are some that can sound pretty good.
Let me do a little more digging.

Thanks
