Re: iCloud and Pages
I quite agree with you. Your logic is flawless. That's what I thought but was proved wrong by reality. I no longer understand how anyone can trust icloud. Re: iCloud and Pages
This has been my experience, so much so that I stopped using Pages in icloud altogether as I was regularly losing data. Microsoft Word - and I don't like to say this - is more reliable in this matter. Shame! Re: iCloud and Pages
The thing is that these things shouldn't have to happen if icloud is supposed to work properly. We can't go on switching things on and off while data is being lost to fix something that is supposed to be working in the business environment where data is money. So I don't quite know what's going on. I'm thoroughly fed up with the reliability of icloud. I don't trust to put in it any data. Re: iCloud and Pages
I do find that there is a bit of a lag between making changes to a Pages document on one device and these changes coming through on another device. Sometimes a Pages document sits and sits in my Pages app with the top right corner folded back (indicating that it is updating itself into iCloud) and only seems to complete when I close the Pages app and dismiss it from the app switcher. adding files from iCloud to Pages on iPad
Listers, I have Pages installed on my iPad. I want to add a document which I have saved into iCloud. I can find the add button but once activated, I gett a choice to add a document from iTunes or Webdav but not from iCloud. I looked in the settings Pages menu and iCloud is selected there. I thought maybe webdav was iCloud and tried to sign in with my credentials but it didn't work - silly idea of mine, I think. A sign of desperation. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
