I'm only commenting on the name of the variable you have chosen here, not the patch itself. I wonder, if it is such a VMS specific operation, whether the name of the OS would not be better to be included somehow, something like: PERL_EXCEPTION_VMS_DEBUG Just a thought? -- Ciao Rich
