Hi All, I want to find out who all have logged into my setup(which is desktop with Linux running) after certain period of time. I have vnc server running on that desktop. So I thought of checking the vnc logs for this information.
Below is the step which I have tried to enable logs on vnc server but it is giving an error. Is this the correct approach or something else can be tried to get this information. *Any help will be appreciated as I am stuck on this for past 3-4 days.* *STEPS to Enable Logs:* nix: For both VNC Server and VNC Viewer, run the application with the -Log flag: vncserver -Log=*:stdout:100 vncviewer -Log=*:stdout:100 Logs will now be created in: Server: ~/.vnc/.log e.g. mypc.realvnc.com:6.log) *ERROR:* This error is shown in the logs. ** (gnome-settings-daemon:7546): WARNING **: Connection failed Window manager warning: Failed to read saved session file /root/.config/metacity/sessions/ 10909ec8827a686fd8131618004569434600000074620023.ms: Failed to open file '/root/.config/metacity/sessions/ 10909ec8827a686fd8131618004569434600000074620023.ms': No such file or directory Window manager warning: Log level 32: could not find XKB extension. ** (gnome-settings-daemon:7546): WARNING **: XKB extension not available ** (gnome-settings-daemon:7546): WARNING **: Neither XKeyboard not Xfree86's keyboard extensions are available, no way to support keyboard autorepeat rate settings Gdk-ERROR **: The program 'gnome-settings-daemon' received an X Window System error.
