We’ve seen that mode of failure as well – 183 w/ SDP but called party never
rings and then a CANCEL. Lots of complaints on otherwise normal looking calls,
makes for fun troubleshooting. Peerless was taking a lot of our traffic and
they do appear to have tracked down an issue with another
Some puerto rico based wholesaler had bid the price of domestic
termination too low for anyone to route advance around?
Its more funny if you remember when GlobalNaps shut down and this
actually happened to new england termination.

Why now? It's nowhere near the 2018 midterms yet.

I missed that, but could be similar and the timing seems about right. Might
be a small increase of 486's but we are generally getting 183 w/SDP ringing
then treatment, CANCEL, 487 Terminated. So they "appear" like ring no
answers and many may be, but some are not. And since they appear normal, it

I think Rob ask a similar question several days ago- back on

I realize this is a bit of a fishing expedition, but is anyone seeing an recent
increase of all circuits busy conditions over the last week or know of any PSTN
trunk capacity problems?
Unfortunately, I can't be more specific because we are seeing an uptick but
doesn't seem isolated to any one
The last time i spoke with them on the topic, the SMPP module for AMS
had not made GA yet. I stopped waiting and built it myself for use with
Ejabberd along with custom auth etc.
The Metaswitch EAS does SMPP for MWI but nothing else. A quick search in
their KB shows only SMPP for MWI support
The stand-alone voicemail system market seems to have mostly dried up
with Broadworks having their own baked in, and metaswitch providing
their own as well, and none of them being particularly exciting anyway.
Really when most commercial switch providers started offering their own
solutions,
I have written applications for Metaswitch / Accession messenger /
Ejabberd (XMPP to SMPP) to do this, expecting that users would have an
XMPP client on the desktop/mobile to handle the messages.
There isnt much out there commercially to do this though.
Feel free to ping me off list if its
With Twilio you can do it through SMS hosted numbers product.

If anyone is interested.

With twilio you need to use their numbers I thought. I already have the numbers
and I have the Network. I just need the apps. :-)

Hey all,
Anyone on here that's part of Windstream's Broadsoft deployment group?
We're running into a problem where it appears there could be a
misconfiguration on a switch.
In the initial INVITE message we're receiving, the Diversion header contains
the To number - and this is causing our
twilio?

I did and it's Surgemail. What you need to understand is that voicemail
is nothing more than email stored on a mail server. I'd be happy to
discuss the finer points with you if you want to PM me.

Not quiet. With Broadworks you'll find that they support certain
features, but it's up to you to implement or find an implementation to
actually use the feature. Voicemail is one of those features where they
allow you to configure the media server to send and retrieve voicemails
to/from a mail
It depends on what you mean by a vm platform. I manage several vm
platforms tied to Broadworks systems and I'm using the mail server
Surgemail by NetWin, http://netwinsite.com.
You can not go wrong with this platform with Broadworks, it's feature
rich, easy to manage, and trouble free. Between
Jeff,
I though Broadworks has voicemail built in? Is that not correct?

We are in the market for a new voicemail platform. This vm platform would
be carrier grade for a ILEC/CLEC that uses a variety of TDM and SIP
switches. We want something feature rich that is SIP based.
Our current softswitch platform that we are growing is Broadworks. We would
probably want to
