My 732b is fine but its transformer bit the dust before I got it.
Actually, that's probably WHY I got it on fleabay.. its previous
owner changed the battery and still couldn't get it to charge!
So it went on fleabay as 'parts/not working'..
for a price I could afford!
The primary is cooked.
I'm guessing that the 4214 10K standard has a resistance curve
that peaks around 73F??? I've searched for old pix of data and can't find
any. The 4214 I got this week had no old, original data with it in its box.

I've been using an old HP GPIB card in a pci slot in my 7 year old PC.
It's running win7 with the latest version of Agilent Connection Expert
and I've had the 3458 and three 3457s all hooked up at once with no
problems. I don't have any lab programs, just hand-enter commands
and then

folks like us volt-nuts.

an sr104, a 4210, all NIST cal'ed and I could do front-panel
adjustments for the 3457.

example. Questions about the upgrades
1) Is the HFC option just a high quality reference, or are there other
differences in the machine to go along with the reference?
2) Is there a Hi voltage AC option? I use probes now,
I have a 4708 on fleabay now which needs a front panel.
Or at least a display, since the left side display (frequency) is broken.
If I could get it working, I could use it for my 3457 work.
