[volt-nuts] 732b transformer replacement

2014-06-04 Thread new
My 732b is fine but its transformer bit the dust before I got it. Actually, that's probably WHY I got it on fleabay.. its previous owner changed the battery and still couldn't get it to charge! So it went on fleabay as 'parts/not working'.. for a price I could afford! The primary is cooked.

[volt-nuts] Need info on LN 4214 temp vs resistance plot..

2014-07-10 Thread new
I'm guessing that the 4214 10K standard has a resistance curve that peaks around 73F??? I've searched for old pix of data and can't find any. The 4214 I got this week had no old, original data with it in its box. Over the past few years there have been some resistance standards sold on fleabay

[volt-nuts] 3458 memory and communications

2014-08-07 Thread new
I've been using an old HP GPIB card in a pci slot in my 7 year old PC. It's running win7 with the latest version of Agilent Connection Expert and I've had the 3458 and three 3457s all hooked up at once with no problems. I don't have any lab programs, just hand-enter commands and then

I'm thinking of doing non-commercial 'calibrations' for folks like us volt-nuts. Since I have three 3458s, three 732As, a 732b, a 4214, an sr104, a 4210, all NIST cal'ed and I could do front-panel adjustments for the 3457. Would anyone here like to do that? I would start by replacing the cal

2016-11-11 Thread new
My favorite DMM has gone far beyond my 1990 model... The HFC, for example. Questions about the upgrades 1) Is the HFC option just a high quality reference, or are there other differences in the machine to go along with the reference? 2) Is there a Hi voltage AC option? I use probes now,

[volt-nuts] I have a few parts units here 4808 and I think a 4700 also which plugs?

2017-09-23 Thread new
I have a 4708 on fleabay now which needs a front panel. Or at least a display, since the left side display (frequency) is broken. If I could get it working, I could use it for my 3457 work. Willy ___ volt-nuts mailing list -- volt-nuts@febo.com

Ever wonder why they haveĀ  FOUR 732b units in a 734? (smile) You need at least 3 of anything unknown. 4 is better. On 8/31/2017 12:00 PM, volt-nuts-requ...@febo.com wrote: Send volt-nuts mailing list submissions to volt-nuts@febo.com To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide
