"The making of the Cordus conjecture is a thought exercise in engineering
design.  It uses intuition (subconscious associations) to come up with a
creative idea (the two reactive ends with the fibril), and then synthesize
sufficient assumptions (the lemmas) to logically explain various known
physical phenomena. It is an engineering design way of thinking, which is
very different to the conventional mathematical method of quantum mechanics.
Also, it is qualitative and descriptive, as opposed to quantitative."
