Horace, Jones, The late Dr. Carroll wrote a paper on Inverse Quantum States many years prior to Mills. It seems to me it was in the 1960s. He was a consultant to MPI for a dozen years. Copies of his papers are in storage here, but it is too difficult and time consuming to dig anything out of
