Ø  The theory presentation does not address the question of the state of the 
electrons in the sea of condensed matter.  

 

Currently, a good explanation for the location of “missing” electrons is 
derived from the Lawandy paper. The electrons are internalized into the 
substrate, such as the ring current which is intrinsic to the known hexagonal 
ring structure of hematite.
