I think the Oumuamua anomaly, although on a larger scale, is in the same category as some unexplained flyby anomalies involving the Earth and a number of space probes. I predict we will see more of these flyby anomalies as we observe more interstellar objects passing through our solar system, and that these anomalies could be evidence of a new kind of physics.
