Balancing the budget's gotten to be an impossible labor, it seems, and the cuts being proposed by both sides of the aisle are eyeball-bending, and, well, it looks like Nasa may take it on the neck yet again.

And 20 years from now, we'll no doubt find people debating the question: If we can't afford to launch a fancy space telescope today, how can we believe it was possible to orbit such a thing as the Hubble, decades ago? That just doesn't make sense. Surely, those images all must have been made in Photoshop....
