I want to be able to schedule software to download during the night. Is there
anyway to do this in OSX.1.4? If not, is there software available that will do
this?

Thought this may be a little interesting. Unsolicited (other than
that I use ANZ internet banking on my apple) mass communication from
my bank.
Can anyone even remember that last time an embedded link in an email
was not double clickable? Just what do they think Apple PCs
actually do?
There was a program called Monika that I used to use in OS 9. Have a look on
versiontracker.com there might be a OSX version.

I recently ran Disk Doctor in Norton's Utilities from a CD and it went
through the usual routine of fixing things. It also identified a bad
block which it acted upon. Then I triggered Speed Disk to
optimise/defragment the drive, but after the initial checking of the disk a
message came up saying
You will need to map out the bad block so before anything else you
should ensure you have a 100% backup of the drive.
Certainly SpeedDisk will not work whilst there is a bad block on the
drive.
After you have backed up you could try to have DiskDoctor map out the
bad block but the most
