A new future Macintosh user arrived yesterday at about 5:00 pm,
weighing in at 7 lb and crying heartily. Charlotte and her mum are both
well.
At the same moment two new grandparents were created. I guess I'll get
used to the idea...

Just looking through the Wednesday paper at lunch time and saw this article
(with photo of Titanium PowerBook in background) for an invention called the
Beat Bug. Looks ( probably sounds) interesting, developed by a computer

i'm getting an inconsistent problem in Mail, where some incoming
messages display partly in some kinda code. I have also had this with
an outgoing message. If i change to plain text the text becomes normal
eg:
homePO Box 253
Deakin West ACT 2600
displays as:
jqog RQDqz485
Ooh, I love these! Puzzles.
If you look carefully you will see that each ASCII character has had 2
added to it, so 'h' comes out as 'j', '2' becomes '4', and space
becomes a double quote.

Can anyone tell me how to stop my G3 Powerbook's remote access attempting to
dial in on bootup every time? There is nothing relevant in my startup
control panel (OS 9.2.2)
