A couple of meetings ago I presented a demo of the Arabic word
processor Mellel. I expressed the opinion that although it was
showing lots of promise it was not ready for prime time because it
could not handle Word files. Well, all that has changed.
Mellel 1.7.5 can now read and write Word

Hi,
Here's another complete-system problem. I have a user who uses Apple's
Mail programme (Mac OS X 10.3.3) and after it has started up and tries
to display the In box or check for new e-mail, the entire system becomes
unresponsive. When this mode of failure begins, each Cocoa app will

You know there is something seriously wrong with the world when someone

Hi All
My G4, running OS9.2 is becoming VERY SLOW I'd like to know what is best
to do to in the way of 'housekeeping'. I regularly zap the P Ram (and hold
down for at least 4 pings) and I also rearrange the Desktop. What else can I
do? How do I delete cookies? And yes I am using huge photo files

Looks like they based it on the Extended Keyboard II... very cool!
Though the first model was better I thought.
It still lacks some features I wish had never disappeared - just give me
a caps lock key that actually locks, and bumps on my D and K

Is this all the time ? How many Apps do you have open ?
Is it only when you have Photoshop open ?

You'll want more than this for anything involving AI IMHO. The game bogs
_badly_ as number of units increase, especially with an AI involved, and
I doubt they've been able to improve this much - it's been an issue

I have a G3 PowerBook 400, OS 10.2.8.
Is it possible to attach to an email, something saved in iTunes?
I've been using QuickVoice. It lets me use my laptop as if it is a digital
dictaphone, and I can send the file as a sound attachment to an email. The
file grows by about 1mb per minute, and
I received a couple of these about 4yrs ago, 1 via email and the other via
fax. It's a well know scam and rolls around quite often.

Thank you Richard for this response. You have interpreted my question exactly.
I thought the 30/9/03 release would solve my problems too but when
it unstuffed it was the May 02 version.
Using the Page Setup from the File Menu provides for optional page
sizes and margins. I have tried that
if you import an AIFF (or any other recognised audio file you will
have to use the convert selection to MP3 option

changed them in iTunes

Then again, I consider 1024x768 to be the bare
minimum (on a 19 monitor, anything less looks awful).
Hmm. I just finished doing some work for someone who had this nice big
plasma screen (around 1m diagonal?) hooked up to his PC, but he was
running it in 800x600... made me want to scream.

BUT better still is you can just drag the MP3 file from within iTunes
and drop it on to the desktop or what ever media you want it on
(unless of course it's currently been stored in an iPods hidden music
folder)
Or if you want to easily see where iTunes is actually keeping it, select
