I would like to connect Apple Pro speakers to a friend's iMac/233 (the original), but as I remember, the connections differ. Does anyone know whether the old iMac can drive these speakers? If so, who sells the necessary adapter? Vlad James

An old Lombard laptop here is using a silver WaveLAN (802.11b) card due to a fried ethernet port. For some reason it can download the list of available updates from Software Update but can't actually download the updates themselves. It keeps getting a network error. Wired machines in the

Check that you don't have the base station doing NAT as well as the router connecting to your ISP. See if you can get another machine on Wireless to do a Software Update successfully. See if there are any ports blocked by the base station. The base station is in fact a Billion 7500G ADSL
