turning on various applications, which he turned off.
But since then the finder has every menu item doubled. Eg Shut down, or
Sleep appear twice.
He has re-booted but still the strange items appear. One of each set work.,
In the real world, having as much RAM as you can put in the computer does make
a difference unless you only have one or two programs open (or especially if
you have multiple users logged in). If you usually have half a dozen like I/we
do, with limited RAM, you will end up with some memory

You are my last hope barring mac doctor, I shut down my old work
horse a G3 Beige Desk Top for a week turning the power off at the
power point as well, when I turned it back on it does not respond as
if it does not have power to it. I have changed pram battery and
reset cuda but
