I have some computer bit and pieces I wish to free my mind of.
They have not been used in a while, but were in perfect working order last
time I used it.

When I wake up my Mac OS X Version 10.5.6, the display shows and then
switches off momentarily. It then comes on and stays on. This has
only started over the last few days and I wonder if it warns of
something more dire happening later?

Hoping someone can explain to me why, when I double click on a zip
file, Archive Utility creates a cpgz file of equal size?
I've looked at Archive Utility's preferences, but there are no obvious
settings to tweak. At the moment my workaround is to manually
decompress the zip file with
