I don't think you'll find a solution I'm afraid. I could be wrong, but I
think it's to do with the way the links and file structure change/are
different for the Mac and the PC.

Just a very silly idea call it Irish lateral thinking...
Can you rotate the text 90 degrees in all the fields/boxes...
Then print in landscape layout...

I have found that by simply dragging the embedded object onto the
desktop and opening it from within a relevant application eg: image
files - Graphic Convertor or Photoshop etc has always worked for me
but I admit that I haven't tried it with an embedded PDF.
