Thanks for your thoughts - but it's the Flash authoring programme,
not the flash player, and I have reinstalled it, but don't remember
repairing permissions so I'll try it again

As a new member, this is my first cry for help. Does anyone know of software
that can convert .clp files to mp4 format. I have a Pacom ONE4ALL surveillance
system and the video\audio is saved in a .clp format and I need to be able to
transfer to a DVD.

I have a similar problem with my 2nd monitor. It's a 17 BenQ and it
even comes on for a few seconds before the screen goes black. I
pulled it apart to see if I could notice any burnt out transistors but
I couldn't.
I've decided not to bother trying to fix it since it's possible to buy
Hi Ronni, List,
Yet again you have leapt to the fore Ronni, and
managed to do for me what I thought was not possible, the Templates listed
below work perfectly ( with just a very little amendment to my Address Book,
which was overdue anyway ! )
Hi Ronni, something up here hmmm
Content-Type: text/plain;
charset=US-ASCII;
format=flowed;
delsp=yes
X-Smtp-Server: mail.emergination.com.au:jus...@emergination.com.au
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Mime-Version: 1.0 (Apple Message framework v936)

Hi Justin,
I meant the MIME Content from the problem email, not your reply to that email.
I think you have given me your reply email MIME Content-Type details (which are
correct).
I still think the problem is their Mail application, not yours.

Ronni

When I plug my flash drive in it doesn't appear in the left hand menu of
Finder, although it appears on the Desktop..this makes it difficult to move

Hi Rosemary
Try the following in the Finder
Go to Finder Menu then Preferences.
Then go to Sidebar icon.
You will then see a list of things under devices.
Mark sure that External Disks is selected (should be ticked and not -).
You can tick on the other things under devices as well if you want.
Hello Rosemary,
In Finder Preferences - Sidebar, under Devices, do you have external disks
selected?

Hi Rosemary
Try moving the following to the Desktop and then restart
Macintosh HD - Users - yourname - Library - Preferences
Move
com.apple.finder.plist and
com.apple.sidebarlists.plist
Move that out, restart and see how it goes.
If doesn't make a difference you can always put them back.
Hi David,
I can recommend DPI.

Hi again Mike,
I just read your email again. What version Mail and OSX are you using?
With each the inbox and outbox (sent) are still missing.

I think we require more information about your .clp files to be able to help

Normally a .clp is a Windows Clipboard file, or a bitmap image. Are you saying
your .clp files are video files?

Hi David Kim,
From what I can find out about Pacom ONE4ALL surveillance system, it records in
PAL 720x576 MPEG-4 compression format to a 320GB HDD.
In that case it is already in MP4 ... why the extension .clp, unless that is
just a wrapping around MP4?

Hi Kim,
I googled your surveillance system and came up with this manual:

I don’t know if this is your actual system but looking at the specs is says:
Under recording and playback:
