Hi Severin,
Epson support said you need to 'update the printer driver' after changing the
BLK cartridge as per the instructions I gave before, to obtain the paper
options. It does refresh the cartridge level information as well.
The paper options depend on what print setting you've chosen in
Hi Muggers
I have just purchased a new Airport Express and I am having some odd problems
which I am sure someone will solve for me.
I followed the instructions plugging everything in prior to turning on the
power, set up the base station password etc, at this stage Airport Utility
reported
Yes, that is normal. If you do not select Manual - Roll the Fine Art papers
show but greyed out. However Matt heavyweight and several others should
appear. Given all this information I will go through again systematically -
when I next change a cartridge! Thanks for your efforts, as
Hi Barry,
Power your Modem Off, wait a few seconds then power it back on.
You might find you need to restart the MacBook Air for it to connect.
If the Amber light is still flashing, check in Airport Utility for errors and
post back.
Cheers,
Ronni

Hi Ronni
I Tried the power/off trick as one of the earlier checks, Airport Utility
reports ethernet cable not connected. I should have mentioned in my first
post that I tried another cable with the same results. I have now reverted to
the old system using the same ethernet cable.

My 27 iMac ( OS 10.7.5 3.1GHz i5) displays a screen flash when I drop

I am not alone with this problem. Google shows numerous examples of the
same problem on different OS. I have not yet determined which files
or folders cause this problem, but it is a bit

I turned everything off, then back on and reset the AE (twice!) then started

Hi Kevin,
Is it a screen flicker that happens when you drop the file on the desktop?
If so try changing the background in System Preferences Desktop and Screen
Saver to a different background.
If that solves the screen flicker, you can probably change the background back
to what you had
Ah that is good to hear Barry.
Might have been an incorrect setting somewhere in the original setup.

Hi Kevin
Also check
System Preferences - Accessibility. Under Audio make sure Flash the screen
when an alert occurs isn't ticked.
Normally you'd see it more often, but always worth checking that as well.
Kind regards

Hi Severin,
My final summary explanation and solution (hopefully) on the Epson R2880 issue
you have experienced.

Many thanks yet again, Ronni. I think that probably explains it, though I
will hold my final verdict till I make the next cartridge swap. Certainly I
always have Photoshop open, as a startup item , so I have not If you plan to
switch the black ink cartridge from one type to another, switch
