Since the iTunes library folder lives inside your home folder (~/Music) it is definitely backed up with TM. If you're using TM then that's very good news. It should be a simple matter of restoring a copy of your iTunes folder which predates the disaster by a few days. I say "should be" but that'a the ideal situation. It's always possible that the problem lies elsewhere than with the iTunes folder, but at least it's a starting point.
