iCal advice needed please

I am running iCal version 1.5.5 on an eMac with OS 10.3.9. Printer is a 
Canon S520.

I want to print  (A4 landscape) the iCal pages as a monthly calendar, 
showing the daily events in the day boxes, one month per page.

However, the printed calendar takes up only about 70% of the page. The 
top section of about 30% includes only the month/year title and two 
small calendars - the previous month and the next month. The rest is 
blank space.

I cannot find any way of formatting the page to increase the amount of 
space in each day box. I have tried all the popup menus and the help 
section has no useful information that I can see.

Can anybody help, or do I just have to live with the page format as it 
is?
