As Ronni has mentioned, it just handles other formats etc. So given most of
what you're doing will probably be in iTunes / AppleTV format then it may not
be of great use for you. But it's one of those things that sits there and be

For those that may not have all your movies in Apple's iTunes format, then VLC
for iOS is great, as it plays lots of other formats.
(though sometimes not as good quality).
But if you missed out getting VLC last time it was available,…grab it now
unless it disappears again!

The interface is pretty slick, and copying your media files through iTunes is
simple enough. While some formats aren't supported (RealMedia, FLV, etc.), many
