Leopard. Tried that but no joy I am afraid. So I will have to resort
to other means to find out what is on at the local movies. The AFL
Ladder widget is also somewhat corrupted though not completely
inoperative though
You could go out and buy an iPhone and then use the excellent Now
Playing app. ;-)

Hi Paul Severin,
Dashboard in Snow Leopard is 64-bit. Any widget that includes a WebKit
plug-in (Objective-C code) must be updated to be 64-bit before it will
work in 64-bit Dashboard.
As a workaround, try going into Applications, doing a Get Info on
Dashboard, and checking the Open in
Ronni, that was the first thing I tried! Following Paul's suggestion
I have also deleted all other widgets, third party and Apple, but
still no joy. Martin Hill's option may be the only way out!

There is a huge number of people having this sort of problem with Dashboard.
One fix is to go to the home folder (the one with the little house icon) then
'Library', then 'Preferences' and trash com.apple.dashboard.client.plist and
com.apple.dashboard.plist. They regenerate the next time you
