Also Merv, make sure you don't have the video muted. There's a button down the bottom of the video window that from memory looks like a video camera with a diagonal line through it. (Sorry not infront of my normal computer at the moment, so working off memory). If that is highlighted or clicked,

Thank you Reg, Daniel, Susan. I checked all the buttons as directed. When I next made contact my friend on the PC said his Skype had not recognised changes he had made until he shut it down and rebooted it. We are now in contact and also with one of my sons in Canberra. What a great device.
