I would probably be terrified that the Walrus eyeballing me from a metre away
was going to grab my iPhone...

Thank Ronni.
My 6S has stayed on for a week now.
Just means it needs charging a little more often.
But I will ask at the Apple Store anyway.
It is as though battery level is read incorrectly by iOS at startup.

Ronni I’ve just been in the high Arctic, in a boat for ten days around Svalbard.
Somehow I didn’t get FOMO when surrounded by mountains, ice, polar bears and
touching distance of a walrus who was eyeballing me from a metre away. Those
experiences surpassed everything technology could give me.
Ah Tim, I also am a Lifelong Sufferer of FOMO!
Cheers,
Ronni

My iPhone is NEVER turned off, neither are my iPad and Computers... they sleep!

Hi Ronni.
I just checked my 6S and note that Peak Performance Management is enabled.
I guess since the first time it switched off.
Does not appear to have prevented shut downs though.
Next time in Perth I shall visit the Gurus me thinks.
Still need to check my wife’s iPhone 5.

Battery Health (Beta)
For iPhone 6 and later, iOS 11.3 adds new features to show battery health and
recommend if a battery needs to be replaced. These can be found in Settings >

I have never managed to get my iPhone 5S to show battery health. It is now
running ios 11.4 and will give me usage and standby times but not health. My
son’s iPhone 6 does give the health using the samr proceedure I have tried on y
5S so perhaps it it model dependant.

Thank you Ronni.
Some research to do after the weekend.
I will keep you (and WAMUG) informed.

Hi folks.
For the past couple of weeks my 6S has developed a strange behaviour.
I always turn it off at bedtime and turn back on in the morning.
But now if I turn it off when the battery is at say 54%, when I turn it on
again it shows perhaps 9% and a red line.
Then after a couple of seconds it
