Hi Ronni
We wonder whether my problem is related to my software.
Have just run software update and updated aperture etc.
Thanks!
ATM pinch/spread is working again in Safari.
BUT interestingly Control Key use two fingers up down does not!
Who knows?

Hi Blitto,
I had the same problem on updating to OS X Lion 10.7.2. This behaviour has been
changed from being the default to being a setting that you must turn on in
System Preferences Universal Access.
In the Seeing tab, Zoom section select the On radio button. Then click the
Options...
Cool Carlo!
Thank you!
And thanks again Ronni
You guys are great!

Hi Blitto,
'Two Finger Pinch' is an application-specific gesture; not all applications
will recognise this gesture.
You were not trying to use it in Firefox were you?
Press Control Key use two fingers up down and Zoom works in all.
Firefox disables two finger pinch/zoom gestures on a Mac.
Thanks Ronni and Jane
Very strange.
pinch/spread worked for about an hour last night then stopped working again.
Although other trackpad gestures seem ok.
I think i have a faulty trackpad?

Quite possible, Rod. I purchased a trackpad that worked perfectly for gestures
up to three fingers, but it would not recognize four finger gestures. I
demonstrated the problem on one of the iMacs in the Apple Store and they
replaced the trackpad immediately.

Hi
If you are talking about the pinch to zoom in apps…
That gesture works fine on my MacBook Air (10.7.2).
I have found that if a gesture isn't working as it should, going to System
Preferences and un-ticking and re-ticking the required trackpad gesture can
kick it into working correctly.
