OK some things are BETTER and icons look simpler (but why) - I need to alert
users now because in a week everyone will forget what OS6 was all about.

I wonder what challenging typing is? I have no difficulty at all, even with
large hands! That is with iPhone 4, which without any effort gives me all the
info I need.

That is good to hear Bill.
I was quoting from tests done on Beta versions of iOS 7 (before the final
release of iOS 7); on Beta versions of iOS 7 it was noticeably slower on
iPhone 4.
PS. All typing is challenging to me ;-))

The 7.0.2 update seemed to speed things up a little on the iPhone 4. In
particular I noticed a quicker response to the Home button, which in the first
release was slow, and almost unresponsive at times.
After living with the update for a week or so now, it's 'okay'. I can live with
it. Sadly,
I always find these discussions following a major update to an Apple OS
somewhat bemusing. I try to imagine what would happen if the iOS7 was the
original appearance, and the classic (iOS6 and previous) appearance was the
update. I have no doubt that the outcry would be that the new look was

What is it with people???
It is not Apple's responsibility to save your Data for you!
Apple always states: Backup your Data before installing any updates/upgrades.
I have been Screaming to WAMUG members (for years) to BACKUP your Data before

Agree with you there Barry. No one on this forum can say they weren't warned
about the need to backup prior to iOS or OS updates, not to mention in Apples

There will always be those who have to learn the hard way.

Hi Ronni,
I can understand your frustration.
I have lost count of how many times I have been asked by family and friends for
computer advice,
then they either ignore it or go do something totally different. And that's
fine coz I can't make
them do anything !
But the most frustrating part is

Ronni,
It was automatic for me. Polite question Y or N. I opted Y and the appearance
great, but I did think Camera Roll was useful as was. I carry the phone 24/7
for fire brigade reasons so not fussed about security access.
