If A) Open Acrobat Pro 8, then go to File Open to open the file (you want
to print) in Acrobat, do you see your Printer in the Page Setup?

Are you using Acrobat Pro version 8.1.0? I used it without problems in OS X
10.6.8 and now in OS X 10.7.2.
Have you tried “Repair Acrobat Installation”?
Open Acrobat Pro, then Go to Help “Repair Acrobat Installation”.

So... re-installed Pro 8 and got printing function back. Tried re-installing
8.3.1 upgrade = Macintosh system error 1409!
