Yes Merv, Mac OS Extended (Journaled) GUID Partition Table If you need anymore information I have on my website a PDF I created “How To: Format Partition External Drive for Time Machine”. Even though you will not be using Time Machine to backup to this drive as Time Machine is NOT bootable.
