I saw on MacInTouch [Tues] that OS X has an invisible file of all the
US postal Zip codes at usr/share/misc/zipcodes. The file is only about
800kb but that may be important to some people if you are running short
of disk space. The question is whether this file is vital to the
operation of OS

Just noticed on the AppleStore that the iMac G4 LCD has dropped $300 on each
model!
The new pricing is
iMac 15 LCD - Now $2395
iMac 17 LCD - Now $3495
Not bad pricing!

I have a relative who wants an iMac, preferably slot loading. Just wants
to use it for word-processing and email. Would need a suitable printer as
well if possible.
She is looking for cheap and reliable. Probably OS 9 would be suitable.

It just takes a little while to filter through the system.

If you want to 'remove unwanted files' to save space, then you could try
Delocalizer - you can download this utility from:
http://software.bombich.com/local.html
Basically it can remove all non-American English localization resource
files that you request. The space saving can be much
