Post firmware Startup chime (loud)

2008-04-14 Thread Oldham, Toby

24" iMac plugged into external speakers. Pre the recent firmware update,
would boot silently if the speakers were plugged in and turned off.

Post update, I'm getting blasted with the startup chime by the iMacs
internal speakers.

Googling it, I discovered that other users unplugg the external speakers,
then change the volume, then restart the computer. This apparently lower the
startup chime volume ... But I'd prefer it muted (incidentally, just hitting
the mute key before a restart doesn't work).

Anyone else have this problem post the recent firmware update?

Cheers,
Toby.

Hi Mac,

Currently, no. You have to delete each message, one at a time. Then
empty the trash can of the messages, one at a time.

This feature should be added in the 2.0 upgrade in late June.

Ronni

PanoramaMaker

2008-04-14 Thread pweaver
I recently received PanoramaMaker 3 bundled with a Nikon pocket
digital camera. It's supposed to work on my Intel OSX Mac and it
does on the first boot up. However if I quit and try to reload it
won't. The only cure seems a reinstall. There is a more recent
patch for the program, but the same thing happens.

There is also a PanoramaMaker 4 which can be bought. Does anyone
have experience with this version?

Cheers, Paul.
