Hi again Lion WAMUGers, I meant to type “Restart is required after download for installation to proceed” Also don’t forget to “Repair Permissions after the installation completes. You will likely see a few ‘Permissions differ on “Library” Don’t get a shock if Repair Permissions says it is going to take 1HR 29Mins … I did … but it actually only took 5 mins ;-) As long as you eventually see “Permissions repair complete” you are OK Everything went smoothly and no problems noticed since installing the update very early this morning. Woohoo! Importantly for those of you in corporate or education environments, especially DET SOE4 schools, this update fixes the active directory binding bugs. I've just successfully joined a school Lion 10.7.3 server to the domain. Now to test the iMacs! Free CD burner
I have an Iomega external CD burner free to a good home. It has had very little use over the 8-9 years I have owned it. I can't get it to work on a PC or a Mac but the drivers on the CD are obviously 8-9 old, but It does have the driver for OS9. Pick up in East Cannington. Re: OS X 10.7.3 Lion Update
Hey WAMUG Lion Users who had their User Library showing in OS X 10.7.2, Did anyone else notice that after installing the OS X 10.7.3 update that the User Library is hidden again! I only noticed it awhile ago when I needed to go into my User Library … and it wasn’t showing ;-) This did not happen when I updated to OS X 10.7.2 … Opened Terminal and entered the terminal command to show it again, and now I’m happy. For anyone who has forgotten the Terminal Command. Show User ~/Library in OS X Lion: Launch Terminal from Spotlight or Launchpad Utilities, and enter the following command to show the directory: chflags nohidden ~/Library/ Click Return Sneaky Apple trying to mess with Ronni’s customisation of Lion.
