Re: iTunes Personal password questions

2012-04-22 Thread Ian Reid
Good afternoon All

When I fired up my iPad today, my thoughts were much the same as Tim's grumpy
old man-ish views. However, on my interpretation, the kiss question could be
answered simply - on 26 September 1926, in my mother's arms!

Evening,

preset questions that I will have to remember.

These are not self selectable questions but some no doubt selected by a person
much younger than me who thinks the questions are relevant and able to be
remembered.

Questions such as favourite teacher, least favourite teacher, favourite car,
least favourite car, best friend in school, and even where I had my first kiss.
This is nonsense as far as I am concerned - grumpy old man response I know,
but it assumes a whole lot, such as first that I remember these things, or even
cared about them either the many decades ago they happened or remember them
with enough consistency to say the same thing again next time iTunes happens to
ask me.

If they are going to ask questions that will have to be recalled completely
accurately into the future to pass a computer gate keeper, they should be
factual, not opinions such as favourite or 'least favourite' which can easily
change over time. Bah humbug Not happy with the very unApple not well
considered questions. Yes, there are five options for each of the three
questions, but nevertheless, they are useless and unhelpful questions.

Now, I'm off to 1Password to add them in so I don't forget. And I took a screen
print in case more than three minutes passed between answering the questions
and have to recall them... pfft, what's the world coming too?

BTW, it was with Kate, over at Rotto... she swam out to ow, too
much information.

In Safari,

To see the toolbar, move the pointer to the bottom-center of the page.
If you move the pointer away from the toolbar, it disappears after a moment.

The toolbar has four buttons. Point to each button to see what it does.

If the type is too small or too large, click the “Zoom in” (+) and “Zoom out”
(-) buttons.

Re: eStatements

2012-04-22 Thread Ronda Brown
Hi Stuart,

You seem to be the only person having an issue with viewing / downloading your
ANZ eStatements.
You mention you receive a message in Safari Snow Leopard, but nothing in Lion?
What happens in Lion when you click or double click on the eStatement PDF?

1. Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/. The tilde ~ means your Home
Library.
Delete the Cache.db file. Drag it to the Trash

2. Restart Safari

If you don’t have your Home Library showing in Lion:

1. Close Safari, then open Terminal. Type or Copy Paste

chflags nohidden ~/Library/

You will then be able to see ~/Library in the Finder.

2. Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/. Delete the Cache.db file.

3. Restart Safari

If you still cannot view or download your ANZ eStatements after following all
the suggestions that have been given, try 'not blocking any cookies'.

a) Select Safari from the menu bar and then select Preferences from the
menu.
b) From the new window, select Privacy from the icons along the top and then
check that the following options are ticked:
In the Block cookies section, if you have selected ‘From third parties and
advertisers’ try selecting “Never”.

If you still cannot view or download your ANZ eStatements you might have to
contact ANZ.

Cheers,
Ronni
