For my sixpennyworth, I have always used Transmit which I have found reliable,
fast and user friendly. Not free but a good $34 worth.

Steven,
The most likely issue is that your memory leakage is caused by a browser you
are running. You haven't said what you are using, but bit recent versions of
both Firefox and Safari have had memory leak issues. Once this happens you
start getting many pageouts to disk and your system slows
Hi John,
I don't really know about Samsung Laser Printers, but as no-one has suggested
anything.
Is the Online/Error light RED or just ON?
If it is RED.
Have you checked:
Is there is a Paper Jam
Front Cover is open
Paper Tray is empty
The Toner Cartridge is out of Toner

Tried this, no change, although I have noticed that when the iMac is first
started the curor is fine for a few then reverts back to the problem of always
bouncing back to the top right hand corner of the screen

Hi Ken
Have you tried in a different user account to see if it does the same thing?
Are you using the mouse on a coloured or pictured mouse mat? Or a wood type
grain surface?
Kind regards

Hi Daniel
Nice to hear from you!
Haven't tried logging as a different user, and the mouse is on a wood grain
surface. Will try these tonight.
Many thanks

Hi Robert,
I don't know how your web-hosting package is set-up, but I have set-up 3
web-sites, including one which gets updated reasonably frequently, and I
have yet to find that I need ANY FTP program.
Both web-hosting companies I use offer C-panel controls for the web-hosting
which means I do
Hi Ken
Thanks :o)
OK, if the mouse is on a plan wood grain type service that has indents in it,
then the mouse can bounce the signal of the optic so it does appear to
bounce around the screen. (or to the top corner).
even when you're not using it, but it's still sitting there, it will do that.
Hi Robert
I've switched a few people over from mobile me hosting to my hosting service
business (http://www.hostingservicewa.com.au).
It has a lot of the MobileMe features and a lot more. All can be run out of
Cpanel (easy to work with) and has file manager and a lot more. Plus a lot more
Hi Daniel,
Yes, I replied to Robert's query back on 10/05/2012 recommending your hosting
service that I use... HostingServicesWA.
I'll paste my reply again:

Hi Daniel
No joy with using a different user account, problem still exists.
However when I rebooted and placed the mouse on flat non-shiny surface, it
worked normally for about 15 minutes then the problem resurfaced.
But thanks for tip

Hi Daniel,
I just get sick of them not getting back to the list after they have posted
asking for help.
Then after days, others stat rambling on mentioning stuff that has already been
suggested.
This Robert hasn't bothered to get back to the list, and so many others also
have asked questions,
Hi Ken
If you take the mouse right out of the equation does it still do it?
Seeing as its still doing it in a different account then it's either hardware
or system wide issue. So makes it a bit easier to track down.
When using it on a different service ensure its flat and not white or glass,
Oh dear Ronni, you are having a bad day. Must be all off those off list queries

Time for a break from WAMUG I think - I can see the stress and over worked from

Put your feet up and walk away from the computer!! :)

Thank you Daniel,
My apologies to the list for my outburst of frustration. My comments were
obviously not meant to go to the list. My only excuse is I have reached my
'burn out' stage today.
I push myself too hard sometimes and don't know when to stop and take a break.
My reaction was
Yes, not like you at all. I bet you've been working all day and not eaten all
day!! Bar a few coffees :)) lol
Time to sign off now and go and rest up!! Don't make me unsubscribe you lol :))
Hope you get the rest and some time out.
Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers on the list tomorrow.
Hi Daniel
Yes is the short answer. I have tried unplugging the mouse, but the problem
still exists. Have disconnecting the track pad, same result - the problem
still exists. I have also tried unplugging the keyboard, no difference the
problem is still there?

Hi Ken
Hmm an interesting one.
Disable Bluetooth ( turn it right off). You'll lose being able to use the
Trackpad, but then could rule out the Bluetooth being an issue.
Could try a reinstall of the operating system, but they may be a last resort
type thing.
Does sound like somethings
