I have lost the mail ikon from the dock. careless of me :-( but where did i go?
I can find mail OK by using spotlight etc but where is the ikon? It is NOT in
the dock even when Mail is open!

Would dragging a new icon from your applications folder be a solution?
If you drag them off the dock they disappear in a 'puff of smoke'.
