Oh dear, so its not a general Apple problem! I'm not sure of the action you
are leading me through. And I'm not sure what I did, but Notes and Mail now
seems to work!
Before I emailed WAMUG for help I had Reset the iPad. While in Notes I held
the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down

I can use an Apple Wireless Keyboard (aluminium) connected to my iPad. That's

How can I wake my iMac from sleep with a non-standard keyboard? I replaced my
iMac Bluetooth aluminium keyboard and Magic Mouse with a standard wireless USB
keyboard/mouse combo. I still have the Bluetooth Preferences setting allow
Bluetooth devices to wake this computer checked.

I have 10.6.8 on external drive. I was able to start up in 10.6.8 by holding
control/option until a selection screen popped up. Now this is not working
.I've shutting down/rebooting several times today but it stubbornly
