2015-09-25 Thread Michael Hawkins
Hello,

I'm checking emails by using iPhone and latest version of ios8. Have received
an email supposedly from a person in my contact list, but obviously not from
him. He has run a scan on his computer but found nothing amiss. Is there a
program I can use to check my iPhone and my MacBook to see if they are
affected? Westnet is my ISP, Telstra my phone service.

Haven't checked emails on MacBook yet, nor have I checked webmail (deleting
from one device doesn't prevent email being received on the other).

Regards,

Michael Hawkins

Re: Personal Information on Facebook without my permission.

2015-09-25 Thread Bill Parker
Stephen,

I am like you. Nothing to do with Facebook, yet a Facebook account I had some
years back has started to creep back and get these requests from people I do
not know wnating to be “friends”. I always delete them.

IF Google doesn’t want to play ball, try Bing or Duck Duck Go. DDG has no
advertising and no retention.

Re: Malwarebytes, anti-malware for Mac

2015-09-25 Thread Ronda Brown

Hi Stephen & Walter,

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac is Thomas Reed of 'The Safe Mac' - his
AdwareMedic with some... 'extras'...
"Improved, but still largely familiar, update of AdwareMedic"

AdwareMedic and The Safe Mac are now owned by Malwarebytes.
A lot of loyal followers of The Safe Mac are not so happy by the sellout to
Malwarebytes.
