Apologies, I sent a message to WAMUG by mistake, it was an ancient draft that 
didn’t get sent. I was deleting rubbish and pressed the wrong button.

I thought it would bounce, can’t afford to pay any more.

I am still struggling with this. I hoped someone would tell me if I should 
delete Graham's account and reinstate (and how to do it) or else suggest how I 
might get his SMTP server back online.

If I delete the account in Internet Accounts it warns it will remove its data 
from Mail, does this include all his downloaded emails?

If I delete the account in Mail I am afraid it will not allow me to set up a 
new account, that I may still get the sort of message I get when I try to edit 
the SMTP settings "A SMTP account already exists. Only a single SMTP account is 
allowed to be saved."

I've looked at the advice given on Apple's official Mail site but they don't 
tell you what to do if you can't save the settings. Their Mail Settings Lookup 
gives me the wrong information for the account, it thinks it is IMAP and has 
different ports. Maybe this is the 'Ghost' account except that Mail Settings 
Lookup gets the ports settings for my accounts wrong too, maybe it doesn't work 
in Sierra.

Connection Doctor reports that his SMTP server is offline but the "Network 
Diagnostics" is greyed out and nothing I select activates it.

I tried deleting the Preferences but it didn't delete the Server settings.
