 My Mail Trash folder is set to delete mail after 1 month.
 I just checked and my Trash has over 900 emails going back to May.
 Even though in Mailbox Behaviours it is set up to delete after 1 month.
 
 This used to happen on my older 2012 iMac (which my wife now uses. And 
 it still does.)
 But it also happens on my newer 2017 iMac.
 
 I MUST be missing something in Preferences for Mail !
 Any ideas would be most welcome ?

Hi Stephen…I cannot reply directly to Wamug because I’m not a paying member, so 
took the liberty to reply directly to your email.

Having said that just let me add that I have two machines at home (iMac and 
MacBook Pro Retina) and another iMac at work and Apple Mail deletes emails 
older than 30 days on all of them as expected…on POP accounts. On the other 
hand a quick Google search shows that you are not alone.
