Hi Pat

I’ve not come across anything that will convert USB-C into USB-B (“normal”
USB). You can go the other way (USB3 into USB-C) and there are plenty of
adapters for that. But nothing the other way.

If the device is something that the cable can be swapped out of, then you could
just use a normal USB cable for it.
(e.g. sometimes it’s possible to take a device that sells with USB-C cable.
Then just using a normal USB cable it will still work the same). e.g. I have a
Western Digital Hard Drive and I have two cables for it. One microB USB3.1 to
USB-A, and one cable that is microB USB3.1 to USB-C. This means I can use the
same hard drive with “normal USB” and the new USB-C on newer iMac’s and newer
laptops.

As far as I’m aware, there isn’t anything to convert USB-C to Thunderbolt 2
either. (again, you can go the other way Thunderbolt2 to Thunderbolt3(USB-C),
as they have adapters for that part.
(and I’m not sure on USB-C to HDMI, but I have a feeling it’s the same -
nothing to convert it).

So short answer as far as I’m aware there is no adapter that will allow you to
plug USB-C into the MacPro. (I’d looked once before and even a quick look now
doesn’t turn anything up.)

This article may help also -

Hope something there helps.
